Hello, my name is Morgan J. Landry. I am 62-years old.My wife and I just celebrated our 40 th wedding anniversary.
She is a cancer survivor and I am the survivor of various illnesses including but not limited to congestive heart failure, diabetes, and a million other things (slight eaggeration but it seems like it.
I have four sons, six grandchildren and a wife. My spouse --Deanna and I both love helping our fellow man.
I am a writer, a journalist but mostly a writer, a musician, singer, mostly writer of sad songs, but I love writing songs about Jesus and the Love of Jesus.
As for my professional background, I am a photojournalist, a journalist, mechanic, a guitarist and a singer, besides being an aspiring preacher.
I had a life changing experience at 45- years of age and it is because of the damaging, life-threatening heart attack that I switched from doing mechanic work to my true love of writing. It is also the reason that I returned to college. However, it's been a long climb to getting my degree, very long climb. I graduated from Ashford University, got my Bachelor's in Journalism in June 2014, and now I am working on a Master's in teaching and educating through technology . These days, I feel the true call of the journalist is buried in some forgotten corner, although it still surprises me that it has survived in some local areas of Louisiana. I enjoy teaching more than being a journalist, these days. My ultimate goal is teaching Louisiana French, the French of the Cajuns. There has been too much of the foreign stuff taught to our people. It's time to teach the Louisiana French riddled with some words of Native Americans and some Spanish and bits and pieces of other languages. Here is a short clip of me singing one of my favorite songs -- And as Elvis would say --"I'm not Andy Williams -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5EMzx0bWfs&feature=youtube_gdata_player
